KUWARI PASS

Kuari Pass, a place with a lot of mesmerizing sights to relish is situated in Garhwal Himalayas. If you are a beginner in treks, then Kuari Pass trek would be the right step to start with. On the route, you will find numerous beautiful forests which are really old with blooming rhododendron and oak trees. There is an interlude of meadows which gives the forest entry so beautiful every time. The region is used extensively by the local shepherds, and it is a great activity to explore one of the richest meadows in the Himalayas to get a full view of the splendid snow-clad peaks. Their imposing and scenic presence can be witnessed from atop Kuari, which literally means “a getaway”.

CHANDRASHILA

Deoriatal and Chandrashila treks are two separate distinct treks, yet inseparable due to the proximity. Both of the treks lie in Rudraprayag District of Uttarakhand. Deoriatal is renowned for its lake, whereas Chandrashila is famous for its summit. Both of the treks are relatively short  and beautiful, which cover a scenic view of Himalayan range of peaks. Chandrashila trek can be more attractive by including PanchKedarTungnath temple and beautiful meadows of Chopta (known as mini Switzerland). Tungnath temple is the highest Shiva temple. Chandrashila trek may get hindered during winter due to heavy snow fall but the trek is permissible. There can be possibilities of taking many trek routes for this area covering Deoriatal and Chandrashila.

SATOPANT LAKE TREK

Located in the midst of snow-capped peaks at an altitude of 16,000 feet from sea level, Satopanth Tal is 25 km ahead of Badrinath. Balakun Peak, Kuber Top, Mt. Nilkantha, and Mt. Situated at an altitude of 16,500 feet, the lake is completely uninhabited, desolate and is surrounded by snow-clad mountains. The lake offers you a rare chance to see the ancient remains of human skeletons that surround it.

Valley of Flowers National Park is an Indian national park, located in West Himalaya, in the state of Uttarakhand and is known for its meadows of endemic alpine flowers and the variety of flora. This richly diverse area is also home to rare and endangered animals, including the Asiatic black bearsnow leopard,[1] musk deer,[1] brown bear, red fox,[1] and blue sheep. Birds found in the park include Himalayan monal pheasant and other high altitude birds. At 3352 to 3658 meters above sea level, the gentle landscape of the Valley of Flowers National Park complements the rugged mountain wilderness of Nanda Devi National Park to the east. Together, they encompass a unique transition zone between the mountain ranges of the Zanskar and Great Himalaya. The park stretches over an expanse of 87.50 km2 and it is about 8 km long and 2 km wide.[2] Both parks are encompassed in the Nanda Devi Biosphere Reserve(223,674 ha) which is further surrounded by a buffer zone (5,148.57 km2). Nanda Devi National Park Reserve is in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves.

Dronagiri village named after the nestling hill Dronagiri in Chamoli district of DevBhoomiUttarakhand is one of the major attraction of botanists and herbs experts. Dronagiri, also known as Dunagiri or Doonagiri and sometimes Doongiri, is 10Km trek from Jumma.  Jumma is a village 45Km from Joshimath on the Malari road along Dhauligangariver.

Once in Dronagiri village or Dronagiri hill station, trekkers feel live and enchanted. Local people’s hospitality and pleasing attitude make tourists forget the physical pain. Adventurers can camp under open sky and enjoy the nature. Trekkers are recommended not to miss the village walks and interaction with locals even if the goal to be in Dronagiri is just  fun and relaxation.

Dronagiri hill is at a height of 2,400 meters above sea level. The Dronagiri peak could not be seen from the village. A 2Km climb leads the trekkers to the Dhaar (ridge) and Dronagiri peak can be seen on a close range from here. 2Km more walk and the trekkers reach Nandi Kund (lake) from where the panoramic view of Dronagiri East, Trishul, Changabanga, Hardeval, Kalanka, Nanda Devi, Nanda Ghunti and other Himalayas can be seen. In the entire trek, visitors get enchanted to see the Himalayan herbs and flowers. Wild herbivores and carnivores populate the area. As you trek through, the splendid nature keeps your heart moving. The serene spiritual atmosphere of Dronagiri has attracted sages for meditation from ancient times.
